Office and retail opportunities
“Located in the heart of the GTA, Vaughan was a clear choice for us to set up a new office. We are better positioned—literally—to service clients across the GTA and in York Region.” – Sebastian Distefano, KPMG Regional Managing Partner, GTA
Vaughan is home to 330,563 people and 12,105 small, medium and large businesses and this number is growing by the day. It is the largest economic centre in York Region with an average annual employment growth rate of 3.2% in 2018.
Top companies like KPMG, PwC, Miller Thomson, GFL Environmental Inc. and Harley-Davidson Canada are setting up shop in the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre. They’re here in Vaughan’s emerging downtown to be near their clients and workforce, take advantage of better transit for employees, and expand their office space.
Since 2010, the City has issued over $10.8 billion in building construction permits. Concrete proof that Vaughan excels in building for the future.
Vaughan is a strategic investment for any business. The time is now to join in this extraordinary opportunity to grow and thrive in a city where it all happens.
Save time with seamless transit services
At the heart of our emerging downtown is the Mobility Hub served by the Toronto Transit Commission, York Region Rapid Transit Corporation, York Region Transit, Brampton Transit, and Metrolinx.
Take your pick between subway, bus, car, bike, or your own two feet.
Work-life balance made easy
Your highly-educated workforce is looking for something only the VMC can offer: a quick commute to work, beautiful new housing options, a fresh take on outdoor green space, and a short walk to urban amenities. Visit the Living in the VMC page for more reasons why this is the place to be.
Serve a growing community and commuter hub
The VMC is booming with eight towers built or under construction and lots more tower and townhouse developments still to come. This downtown will be rising and expanding for another 15-20 years.
Downtown Vaughan will have about 4,100 residents by early 2020 and 7,700 residents by 2021. The pipeline of approved and proposed applications has enough units to house another 31,000 residents.
The VMC subway station already has 15,000 daily riders, and we expect 20,000 people to be moving through the entire mobility hub within 2019.
The City of Vaughan recognizes the importance of keeping businesses in Vaughan and has implemented the City’s first-ever Community Improvement Plan (CIP). Aimed at facilitating major office investments in the VMC, the CIP provides financial incentives and planning tools for office development projects greater than 7,000 square metres.
