Doing Business in the VMC
An extraordinary opportunity to thrive in the VMC where it all happens.
“Located in the heart of the GTA, Vaughan was a clear choice for us to set up a new office,” says Sebastian Distefano, GTA Regional Managing Partner at KPMG. “It allows us to best service our many clients situated in the area, today and tomorrow.”
Vaughan is currently home to 11,948 small, medium and large businesses and this number is growing by the day. It is the largest economic centre in York Region with an average annual employment growth rate of 3.5% in 2017.
More and more companies are setting up shop in the VMC in anticipation of better transit for employees, innovative office space and thousands of new residents calling Vaughan home. Top employers such as KPMG, Miller Thomson, GFL Environmental Inc. and Harley-Davidson Canada are settling in the VMC to be near their clients and professional workforce.
In 2017 alone, the City issued $1.969 billion in building construction value, which equals more than $5 million of construction activity. Concrete proof that Vaughan excels in building for the future.
Vaughan is a strategic investment for any business. The time is now to join in this extraordinary opportunity to grow and thrive in a city where it all happens.
The City of Vaughan recognizes the importance of keeping businesses in Vaughan and has implemented the City’s first-ever Community Improvement Plan (CIP).
